Signing news at Newburgh

Prior to the first game of pre-season this weekend Scott Hudson and his coaching team are delighted to have completed the signing of several players. These signings add to the current squad who signed up from last season.

Joining Newburgh for season 2019 – 20

Ben Scarborough – A product of the successful partnership with Abernethy Under 19’s Ben joins Newburgh this season. Ben is s tidy left back with a mean left foot delivery from the wide areas.

Aidan Edward – Aidan played for Abernethy U19’s last season and guested for Newburgh several times towards the end of the season. He fitted in well and will be a great addition to Newburgh’s midfield.

Sam Kirkham – Sam missed last season through injury having had a superb season the year before with the successful Strathmiglo Utd side. A tall athletic centre back Sam will be a great addition to the squad.

Fraser Crossley – Fraser played for Newburgh a few season ago before stepping into the amateur leagues with several sides in Fife. Fraser is a strong left footed centre back with a cool head in defence.

Jordan Annandale – Jordan impressed against Newburgh in a pre-season friendly last season playing for Bridge of Earn. Jordan is a quick winger and a player the management team have had their eye on for some time.

Gordon McKinnon – Gordon played with Cupar Hearts last season and suffered an injury early in the year that put him out for the season. Back to full fitness and with a good pre-season behind him Gordon will add strength to the ‘Burgh midfield

Jamie Gay – Jamie played part of the last 2 seasons at Newburgh and returns to our squad this season. A quick forward with an eye for goal we look forward to seeing Jamie play at East Shore Park again this season

Kurtis McKenzie – Kurtis is another player returning to East Shore Park having played for us in the two previous seasons before moving on. Kurtis is a quick, intelligent midfielder with height and pace in abundance.
