Fixtures week 1 ERJSFA South Premier League

The first week of fixtures for the new season have been released by the fixture secretary. The whole season of fixtures will be released shortly once the East Of Scotland league publish their fixture list. This is to allow ground sharing considerations to be given to the clubs in both leagues.

Newburgh are delighted to host one of the four new teams to enter the league this season, Syngenta, in their first fixture within the East region of Scottish Junior football.

Season 2019 – 20 preview

After a short break the squad are back at it already with pre-season training underway as of Tuesday the 18th of June.

The squad are assembled and were hard at it last night at East Shore Park with the management team putting them through their paces. Our pre-season schedule of matches starts on the 6th of July with some really testing fixtures to get the lads up to match fitness for the start of the season

The club AGM is scheduled for 7pm next Tuesday, the 25th of June, at the pavilion. We would like to encourage anyone with an interest in joining the committee or giving us a help out at the club to come down for the AGM. Everyone is welcome we can never have too many volunteers!

The Scottish Junior FA and East Region JFA AGM’s took place over the last week. It is really encouraging to hear the work that is going on in the background and everyone at Newburgh is delighted to hear that we will have 4 new teams joining our league next season.

Newburgh will once again take part in the South Premier league. This will be a 10 team league with Newburgh competing against, West Calder United, Stoneyburn, Kirkcaldy & Dysart (formerly Kirkcaldy YM), Lochgelly Albert and Rosyth. Also joining us in the South Premier league will be the new teams, Bo’ness United, Linlithgow Rose CFC, Sauchie and Syngenta.

We will play against each team 3 times with the 3rd fixture being drawn either home or away. This gives us a minimum of 13 home league fixtures (possibly 14 depending on draw) to look forward to at East Shore Park this season.

The four new teams are stepping into the Junior set up for the first time and everyone at Newburgh wishes them well. We look forward to visiting them and welcoming them to East Shore Park as the season progresses.

We expect to have a full league fixture list released soon. This is welcomed as a really progressive step offering us the ability to forward plan for the season ahead.

We will also compete in the Scottish Junior Cup, the D J Laing East Region Cup, the Thorntons League cup and the SMT VTech Fife & Lothians cup.

In the first round of the D J Laing East Region cup we have been drawn away to Sauchie. The winners of this tie will then play a home tie in round two against Stoneyburn Juniors.

We look forward to the season ahead at East Shore Park,
